~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A beautiful Tuesday brothers and sisters. This past weekend was a unique moment where Easter, Passover and Ramadan shared space together. This will happen in 2023 and then not again until 2060. For a brief moment, the act of worship united people. We showed reverence for life through matzoh, fasting, pilgrimages. Prayer in many forms and languages. Did you feel the energy?
The poem was written in 2015, in a moment where we did a traditional Dine' ceremony during the month of Ramadan. A moment where the lines between languages and ways, between Hogan and Mosque seemed to blur until disappearing altogether.
The last phrase, Hózhó Nahasdlii is often translated "May Beauty be Restored". Ameen being the way to say Amen in Arabic.
May You Walk in Beauty today!
